Welcome to my August 2024 Vedic astrology calendar!

A lot is happening in the sky mirror in August, with Mercury retrograde, Mars and Jupiter in a planetary war, and some stressful energy around the Supermoon of August 19.

As always, there will be highs and lows. We will need to be especially mindful this month as the air element will be out of balance in terms of having so few planets in air signs, while Saturn (the planet of the air element) is retrograde in an air sign (Aquarius). This can generally result in feeling burned out, stuck, anxious, irritable, or alienated.

Astral Reads for the Month

A very helpful analysis by Anish Prasad of Astro-Jagriti: The Dangers of Simplistic Astrological Interpretations: Why Context Matters in Decoding Horoscope.

If you're been hearing a lot about Bitcoin in the news, but don't understand it, you might like this book titled The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous. 

Another great book that can help you understand our monetary system is the wonderfully named The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve by G. Edward Griffin. There is also a video version.

I loved this Substack article by Vritant Kumar about the controversial case of Shanti Devi: the reincarnation case that shook the entire world: Possibly the most famous and well-documented case of reincarnation ever.

Please note that this and all my other forecasts are based on the sidereal zodiac used in both Vedic and Western sidereal astrology, not the tropical system used by most Western and a small number of Vedic astrologers. All the astrological charts that I work with and share are calculated according to the sidereal zodiac and Lahiri Ayanamsa.
