Thank you so much for this report! Very helpful. I have always understood that Saturn cast a 3/7/10 aspect. Yet you write about a 4th house aspect. Is this from a different school of vedic astrology? It's fascinating.
Hello. That is correct re: what is taught conventionally in Vedic astrology re: Saturn throwing a full aspect on 3/7/10. Planetary aspects are called “graha drishti” or “graha spuhta drishti” in Vedic astrology. They are commonly based on the sign/house placements of the planets in relation to each other, though traditionally they were supposed to be based on precise planetary longitudes, and some Vedic astrology programs calculate these (known as sphuta drishti, in which sphuta means “longitude” and drishti is an aspect). However, these are tedious to calculate, and difficult for most people, so conventional astrologers have taken the easy route and just consider only full graha drishti. Using the more precise sphuta drishti, which I look at, Saturn will start out with 56/60 sphuta points in its aspect to Jupiter in Taurus. Then it will drop to 50/60 in July, And from then it will be in the 40s to low 50s, so still very strong (3/4 strength and above). That said, the 4/10 (square) aspect which is used in Western (including Tajika) astrology is something I revert to for all the graha aspects, because it works. The square can indicate turbulence and challenges but also a push to action.
Thank you for this very comprehensive information. I always enjoy your detailed messages, they are very helpful in navigating these chaotic times.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad you find my posts helpful.
