Juliana's Astral Weather Report: July 23 to 30
The last week of July will be filled with significant astrological events! Read on to find out how the cosmos could impact you this week:
July 23 to August 1: Energy Rises During the Waxing Moon Phase
We will begin the last full week of July with a Waxing Crescent Moon. The Moon will square the Sun on July 23, kicking off the Last Quarter lunar phase which will lead into the Waxing Gibbous phase, and finally the Full Moon of August 1. When the Moon waxes, our creative energy rises.
As noted in a previous article, Venus will station retrograde on July 22-23 and will remain in its stationary phase for a few days afterward. This turning point can evoke powerful feelings and events. Some will tend to act impulsively at these times, and societal upheaval may seem worse than usual.
July 24: Six Planets in Fire Signs - Optimism, Enthusiasm, and Courage
The predominant element during this time is Fire! Jupiter, Uranus, and Rahu are in Aries, Venus and Mars are already in Leo, and Mercury will join them in Leo on July 24 (read more about Mercury further on). Fire is the element of summertime and purification, and is associated with discernment, expansiveness, enthusiasm, confidence, vitality, willpower, and the creative force. Yet, when the Fire element is out of balance, we may experience fires and high temperatures, inflammatory conditions, impulsiveness, burn-out, frustration or anger, and over-indulgence.
July 22 to August 1: Mars and Jupiter in a Trinal Aspect - Potential for High Energy and Good Fortune
Using an effective five-degree orb, Mars in Leo and Jupiter in Aries are in a powerful and harmonious trinal aspect from July 22 to August 1 (they will be in the exact aspect on August 1). This is characteristically a fortunate success aspect, and especially for those with the Ascendant, Sun, or Moon in Fire signs. At the same time, the Earth element energy is weakly represented now, so staying grounded is also important if we are to make the best use of all this Fire energy.
July 16 to August 1: Venus Forms a Yod with Neptune and Pluto - Chance for Significant Events to Occur
From July 16 to August 1, Venus is forming a Yod with Neptune and Pluto. This combination is in the form of an isosceles triangle with Neptune and Pluto at the base in a sextile or 60-degree aspect. Each of these planets is in a quincunx or 6/8 (which is a 150-degree aspect) to Venus.
The Yod is also known as the Finger of Fate (or Finger of God). In a natal horoscope, it can suggest anxiety, obsession, uneasiness, or deep-seated insecurity or stress that must be dealt with and resolved. If it occurs in auspicious signs and involves benefic planets, the Yod may also reveal a special soul gift that will be actualized through a series of challenges. The Yod also points to the possibility for significant fated events to occur.
The Yod in the current planetary transit chart seems to be highlighting complex issues. These are related to emotional attachments, financial stress, psychological projection, obsession and control, fraud, and self-deception. As a similar example, a Yod with Venus at the apex and Pluto and Neptune at the base occurs in the birth chart of Jussie Smollett (but the one in his chart occupies different signs from those where it is occurring in transit now).
Smollett is an American actor and entertainer who was convicted in 2021 on five counts of felony disorderly conduct for making false reports to the police about being the victim of a hate crime in January 2019. It has been said that he planned the attack because he was upset about his salary on the hit show “Empire” and was seeking publicity. Smollett has continued to maintain his innocence.
July 23 to December 26: Chiron will Retrograde in Pisces - Focus on Healing
Chiron is the comet and planet that symbolizes our deepest wounds and our capacity for healing. It will retrograde from July 23 to December 26, when it will move back from 26 to 21 degrees of Pisces. If this transit directly activates your natal chart, Chiron may indicate where you need to revisit some important issues related to your mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual health.
July 24: Mercury Will Transit into Leo - Enhances Self-Confidence, Communication Skills, and Optimism
Mercury will transit in the commanding, intelligent, confident, expressive, and persuasive sign of Leo from July 24 to October 1. Here, Mercury can enhance self-confidence, communication skills, and a more optimistic viewpoint. The house that Leo occupies in your natal chart will determine the focus for reflection, review, reconsideration, and new understanding to develop in the coming ten weeks during Mercury’s extended transit here in Leo (extended due to its retrograde cycle that will occur in August and September).
July 26: UAP Hearings in the United States Congress
The House Oversight Committee has planned a hearing on Wednesday, July 26 to address the topic of UAPs (UFOs). This comes largely as a result of evidence given by David Grusch, a former counterintelligence official who claims that the United States government is hiding evidence of crashed aircraft and dead pilots that are not of this world. As I understand it, at least two other military whistleblowers will be interviewed in the hearing along with Grusch.
I previously wrote an article about this matter which you may want to check out if you have not read it already. Here, I discussed the astrology behind Grusch’s recent claims. I mentioned that Ketu, the Moon’s shadowy South Node, is currently transiting across the midheaven (point of the government) in the eleventh house of the United States birth chart. This transit will continue until later in November of the current year.
This aspect of Ketu can point to the ongoing battle between those seeking full disclosure and acknowledgement against the covert forces behind the longstanding UFO/ET coverup. These forces will likely continue to obfuscate the truth as indicated by the transiting Moon in conjunction with Ketu on the day of the hearing.
July 27: Mercury and Venus Conjoin in Leo - Planetary War
Mercury and Venus will conjoin exactly at four degrees of Leo on July 27, but they will be in an effective orb of conjunction from July 24 to July 30. In general, this can be a great transit for socializing, creative and artistic inspiration, self-expression, and just some enjoyment or fun.
However, on July 27, Venus and Mercury will be in a planetary war, known as graha yuddha in Vedic astrology. This can manifest as communication difficulties or arguments, and especially because Rahu, the Moon’s disruptive North Node, is also in a trinal aspect to Mercury and Venus.
As you can see, the week ahead will be filled with some interesting planetary movements. In particular, the strong Fire energy of Jupiter and Mars may bring good fortune and positive shifts for some. However, the Yod suggests a potential for deception, so I advise you to exercise extra caution and care during the next week.
