Have you considered using Fagen-Bradley or a point in between that and Lahiri to be more accurate?

I have indeed experimented with other ayanamsas (43 of them) and after many years of practice and observation, I have found that Lahiri works well in my work. What are your observations?

I will say I’m not as experienced as you. I enjoy your posts. I have done some thinking about different Ayanamsas including Tropical. I always find though when I read a Tropical description of my chart that it doesn’t resonate with me much, so I definitely align more with Sidereal. I think the difference between Lahiri and Fagen-Bradley isn’t all that much and one can generally use either, but it does substantially change the divisional charts and Mahadashas. More research would be required for me to look at those individually to have a sound opinion on those differences. I think Ola Wolny is definitely an astrologer to look at. A very unique, one could say Gnostic, view is the Zodiac. She’s trained in Vedic and Babylonian and uses elements of both. She trained under Rumen Kolev. She used Fagen-Bradley as that’s closest to the Babylonian system, but says if she wanted to get it perfect she’s use something like halfway between Fagen-Bradley and Lahiri.

The Babylonian/western sidereal system uses Fagan-Allen (Bradley), yes that is correct. I understand that newer astrologers tend to learn and teach via podcasts and YT videos nowadays, where they wax eloquent on these matters as they are clearly going through their own processes to find the techniques and calculations that work for them.

For me, Lahiri works well in practice, and I have been an East-West astrologer for over 50 years. The great master Jyotishi KN Rao agrees with this ayanamsa.

Check out the 9/11 transit chart in reference to the US Kelleher chart using Lahiri vs Fagan-Allen and you will find that either one works, even though there are some very slight and insignificant different twists.

In my experience, the most scholarly and enlightened texts on the zodiac and questions of ayanamsa are in Dr. Robert Powell's books, especially "The History of the Zodiac." I also found his two-volume "Hermetic Astrology" set to be illuminating. And finally, I agree with what my colleague Kapiel Raaj says in his video the "Circus of Ayanamsa"...as he says that what is necessary to dissolve the debate over ayanamsa (and other such matters) is the absolute faith of the astrologer and the client. This is because astrology goes beyond science. That's where I find myself now. Here is his video: https://youtu.be/zA7XAcmklDA - Good luck with your explorations.
