This beautiful short (two-minute) video by Nitin Das titled "Peace Prayer of the Wind" was filmed in Sikkim, India and Bhutan. It’s a tribute to the ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition of tying flags with prayers written on them so that the wind may disperse the good wishes all over the world. (Images and text by Nitin Das; Music by Avinash Baghel).
"Carry my prayers far and wide.
Let there be peace in troubled hearts,
Let there be calm in unsettled minds,
Give some rest to those who are tired.
Give some hope to those in despair.
Over the mountains, across the fields,
O Wind, carry my prayers far and wide.
Play with those feeling lonely.
Comfort those feeling unwell.
Bring some courage to erase our fears .
Share some wisdom to clear our confusion.
Flow a little kindness to quell the anger.
Blow a little tolerance to dispel the impatience.
Old or young, happy or sad,
O wind, touch them all with my gentle prayer.
And in the end, find your way to a good soul
Who will add to this prayer and send you on.
For when we learn to pray for others, we find true Peace."
