It’s time to get ready for a sea change! On March 29, 2025, Saturn will transit into Pisces. Saturn spends a long time in each sign, so it’s a big deal when it moves into a new part of the zodiac! In fact, Saturn will spend over two years in Pisces. In this article, I’ll discuss what this change could mean for the world and in our personal lives.
Pisces is the dual sign of the Fishes who are bound together but moving in opposite directions. Pisces is often called the “karmic sign” as it symbolizes the culmination of an old cycle in preparation for the next cycle on the spiritual evolutionary spiral.
Whenever Saturn transits into a new sign, this signifies a sea change in the world and in our lives. These transits are very important because Saturn is known as the “karmic planet,” meaning that it is the main overseer of our karmic journey. As the karmic planet travels through the “karmic sign,” we should expect to see momentous changes occurring in the world.
Saturn will transit into Pisces on March 29 at 12:11 PM EDT (4:12 PM UTC). This will occur about five hours after the New Moon Solar Eclipse. Saturn will be in Pisces from March 29, 2025 to June 2, 2027, and again from October 19, 2027 to February 23, 2028.
How Saturn’s Transit in Pisces Could Impact You on a Personal Level
Saturn is the planet which represents the power of our actions, the process of manifestation, and the limits and boundaries of our perception and experience. As the force of fate and the lord of karma and transformation, Saturn symbolizes the pressures and restrictions that are meant to help us learn and evolve slowly over time. Hence, he is known in Vedic astrology as Shani Dev, the “slow goer.”

The lessons of Saturn in Pisces relate to the process of purification at the most subtle mental and emotional levels. In other words, this transit is time to shed old hurts, negative assumptions, unhealthy habits, unresolved inner conflicts, and dysfunctional patterns such as codependency, resentments, and victim complexes.
By doing our inner work, maintaining objectivity and critical self-awareness, developing a higher perspective, and cultivating a sense of realistic compassion, we will be able to navigate this transit with more ease. Otherwise, the lower expression of Saturn in Pisces can be associated with sorrows, grief, depression, anxiety, and health problems.

How the Transit of Saturn in Pisces Will Change Your Life
It’s time to get ready for a major planetary change! Saturn is going to transit into Pisces on March 29, 2025. Since Saturn spends a long time in each sign, this new transit will have a dramatic impact on the world at large and on your personal life. Many are already experiencing a shift in certain areas of life as Saturn approaches the edge of Aquarius and Pisces.
The Significance of Saturn in Pisces on the World Stage
Saturn in Pisces marks an important transitional period at the end of a thirty-year cycle. As multiple existing structures will be breaking down during this time, we can expect major disruptions, discontentment, conflict, uncertainty, and confusion. Extreme events may be experienced during this transit, as the old will be dissolved to make room for the new. On a more positive level, Saturn in Pisces has previously indicated amazing tipping points in history.
Saturn will be entering Pisces close to the time of a very rare solar eclipse. In the Pisces ingress chart set for Washington, DC, Saturn will be in conjunction with the Midheaven (MC or Madhya Lagna). The Midheaven represents the executive branch of government. This suggests that there will continue to be significant changes within the new government.
In the ingress chart (above), Saturn will conjoin Rahu, an important aspect which I wrote about previously in my March newsletter. This conjunction indicates potential stormy weather, both metaphorically and literally.
Saturn will also conjoin Neptune within a five-degree orb. This conjunction will be in place for the next two years, and will be the strongest in February 2026. This conjunction represents a serious paradigm shift, when many difficult societal problems must be realistically faced and dealt with. The conjunction also points to trade issues, possible water-related concerns, a religious resurgence, heightened interest in the paranormal, and the emergence of new forms of artistic expression.
Further, Saturn will conjoin Venus at its Pisces ingress. This suggests that there will be ongoing economic difficulties and battles. These will likely center around government spending, the national debt, trade, immigration, law enforcement, national security, and public safety.
On another note, the transit of Saturn in Pisces (especially because it begins with a Venus conjunction) represents a turning point in history when many will be seeking more authenticity, solidarity, and meaningful connection in their personal and professional relationships.
Several interesting recurrent themes have been associated with previous Saturn in Pisces transits. These include the birth of new spiritual movements, economic upheaval, global conflicts, concerns about immigration, revolutions, and other kinds of historical tipping points. Here are a few examples:
1730-1733: The First Great Awakening, a series of Christian evangelical revivals that swept Britain and its thirteen North American colonies
1760-63: The Seven Years War (ended in 1763)
1789-1792: The French Revolution
1819-1822: The Panic of 1819, which subsided by 1823
1848-51: The California Gold Rush; the "Year of Revolutions" with uprisings against monarchies in France, Austria, Italy, and Germany; and the beginning of the Spiritualism Movement
1878-1881: The Lincoln County War, an Old West conflict over territory in what is now New Mexico; and the Church of Christ, Scientist (Christian Science) was founded by Mary Baker Eddy
1907-1910: Two financial panics occurred; and, the United States Immigration Commission was formed
1937-39: Pre-World War II when Japan invaded China; and Germany annexed Austria and the Sudetenland
1966-69: The Vietnam War; China’s “Cultural Revolution” with the death toll estimated to be between 1-2 million people; the birth of multiple counterculture movements (peace, free love, consciousness expansion, yoga and new age spirituality, communal living, and so on); and, the civil rights movement was also in full gear during this time
1995-1998: The Tech revolution (the Internet tipping point); a devastating Midwestern heat wave in the USA; the First Congo War (“Africa’s World War”); and the handover of Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to the People's Republic of China
As you can see, major worldwide changes are likely to occur when Saturn is in Pisces! Since this transit begins with some powerful conjunctions, I do foresee the world going through an intense period in the near future.
On the positive side, though, Saturn moving into Pisces may be beneficial on a spiritual level, especially for those of us who are attuned to higher matters. As the planet of karma enters the last part of the zodiac, we are given an opportunity to let go of what no longer serves us and clear the way for new beginnings and better times ahead!
Om Sri Shaniswara Bhagavan!
Hail to you Lord Saturn, Dark One, Beautiful One.
Seated in a restful asana, riding with the crow...
Worshiped in the Universe, Celestial firefly...
He's a blissful One carrying a dark blue parasol,
Praised one…Lord Saturn, Lord of all.
Tamasic one, sober one, smeared with dark blue paste.
God who is the lord of the beasts, he is the God who flies,
He's the lord of all creatures that travel in the sky.
Lord in the form of duty, granting wealth and peace.
He's infallible, immovable, contemptible and cruel,
God in the form of knowledge, and of ignorance too,
Destroying the root of ignorance,
All lives he does transform...
Giving whatever is desired, a giver of dispassion,
To those whose minds absorbed in him express their great devotion.
I bow down to you, Great Lord, shadowy Sun...
Om Sri Shaniswara Bhagavan!
