How Mercury's Sagittarius Transit and Retrograde Cycle Could Impact You: Part Two
A sign-by-sign astrology forecast for Mercury's upcoming transit
Welcome to Part Two of my Mercury article! In Part One, I discussed the general impact of Mercury's transit in Sagittarius and retrograde cycle. As a special thank you to my paying subscribers, I have written this follow-up article that includes a sign-by-sign guide detailing the possible effects of Mercury's movements for each zodiac sign.
Mercury will transit into Sagittarius on November 26, 2023. It will remain in Sagittarius until December 28, 2023 (and will transit here again from January 7 to February 1, 2024). The astrological charts below are shown calculated for Eastern Standard Time. Use the World Time Buddy to convert to your time zone if different.
During Mercury’s transit in Sagittarius, it will retrograde at 14 degrees of Sagittarius on December 13, 2023, and will station direct at 28 degrees of Scorpio on January 1, 2024 at 10:08 PM EST (which will be January 2 at 3:08 AM UTC).
Mercury went through a similar transit and retrograde period in Sagittarius from December 2022 to February 2023. This suggests that we have come full circle now, and the interpretations I have given below are likely echoing some of your journey of this past year.
As I describe where Mercury will station direct in your chart, note that this is where Mercury will also retrograde again for you next year in November and December 2024. Accordingly, the themes that I mention may reverberate through 2024.
Each section applies to you if your first house/Ascendant, Sun, or Moon is located in that zodiac sign. If you do not already have this information, you can use this free chart calculator from the American College of Vedic Astrology website to make your Vedic North or South Indian chart.
As another option, Cafe Astrology offers a free chart calculator to make a sidereal zodiac wheel chart. Either option will give you your Ascendant, Sun, and Moon signs. If you know your birth chart or have your birth time and can calculate your chart, then use the Ascendant which is the most fine-tuned point to use in all astrological analysis.
