Mars is going to make a major move on August 26th. On this date, Mars will enter Gemini. Mars will transit in Gemini on and off until April 2025. Therefore, the Mars transit will be one of the most significant planetary events of 2024 and 2025.
As a special reward and thank you to my paying subscribers, I am providing an in-depth analysis of this important transit for each sign. First, I will explain the significance of the Mars passage through Gemini.
Mars Moves Through Gemini
Mars will pass through Gemini from August 26 to October 20, 2024, and will return to this sign in January, 2025. Specifically, it will transit in Gemini from January 20 to April 2, 2025. During this period, Mars will be retrograde from January 20 to February 23.
Mars normally spends about 45 days in each sign transit. However, about every 26 months, Mars retrogrades and spends a much longer time than usual in one sign, as it will during this transit in Gemini.
When a planet transits for a lengthy period in one sign, it brings a significant focus and influence into the astrological sign and house that it occupies. This suggests that any concerns we experience related to the initial Mars in Gemini transit may continue to be a focal point until Mars finally leaves this sign in early April of 2025.
Wherever Mars transits in an astrological chart, we can say in general that this will show us areas of conflict and challenge. These are parts of life in which we have to work hard and take a stand in order to solve problems, seek security, and defend what is most important to us.
Mars was last in an extended transit of Gemini from September 16, 2007 until April 28, 2008. You might look back and see what was going on in your life then. This may help you discover any broad themes, issues, or repeating patterns that could emerge again this time.

How to Obtain Your Birth Chart
In order to understand the significance of this transit on your life, you'll need to know your birth chart. If you do not already have this information, you can use this free chart calculator from the American College of Vedic Astrology website to make your Vedic North or South Indian chart. As another option, Cafe Astrology offers a free chart calculator to make a sidereal zodiac wheel chart. Either option will show your Ascendant, Sun, and Moon signs.
Each section below will apply to you based on the placement of Gemini in your birth chart. My general analysis is based on the following areas:
The house position of transiting Mars for each birth sign.
The aspects that Mars makes to other houses in the birth chart.
The houses that Mars rules in the birth chart.
Please note that this analysis does not apply to the retrograde transit of Mars in Gemini that will occur in January and February. When Mars is retrograde, some of the indications I have listed can undergo a reversal or become problematic areas.
Now that you have your birth chart, let's look at the sign-by-sign impact of this transit!
