Astral Weather Forecast: February 13-20, 2023

Solar Storms, Seismic Activity, Waning Moon Phase, and a Beautiful Wave of Spiritual and Creative Energy Coming In

Please note that this and all my other forecasts are based on the sidereal zodiac used in both Vedic and Western sidereal astrology, not the tropical system used by most Western and some Vedic astrologers. All the astrological charts below are calculated according to the sidereal zodiac and Lahiri Ayanamsa.

Solar Storms: Impacting Earth During the Past Week and In the Coming Days

The Sun has been extremely active in recent days, with many unstable areas including a few large sunspots facing the Earth. According to NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, sunspot AR3213 exploded again, resulting in solar flare eruptions accompanied by shock waves that impacted the Earth. According to SpaceWeather.com:

…a filament of magnetism erupted from the sun's northern hemisphere and hurled a CME into space [a CME/coronal mass ejection is a significant release of plasma and accompanying magnetic field from the Sun's corona into the heliosphere]…It is a halo event with an apparently Earth-directed component. ETA: Feb. 14th…and on February 11, Earth-orbiting satellites detected an X1-class solar flare from sunspot AR3217. Extreme UV radiation ionized the top of Earth's atmosphere, causing a strong shortwave radio blackout over South America.

Solar storms are known to have a direct impact on human and animal behavior as we are all a part of one magnetic energy field surrounding the Earth. Especially sensitive people may feel the effects of heightened solar activity, with symptoms ranging from feeling generally unwell, mood swings, mild headaches, anxiety, palpitations, confused thoughts, irritability, and insomnia. Positive effects may also result from this kind of solar intensity, including remarkable visions, spiritual insights, and heightened intuition which can lead to quick solutions and resolutions for various kinds of problems. 

Seismic Activity During the Past Week: Related in Part to Mercury’s Capricorn Ingress and Conjunction with Pluto

Powerful earthquakes and aftershocks have caused widespread devastation in Turkey and Syria during the past week, and my prayers are with all those who have been affected. I had predicted in my report last week that seismic activity could be heightened due to the transit of Mercury into Capricorn and in conjunction with Pluto, and sadly I was correct. For those in the United States, I find the Charity Navigator website to be a useful guide in case you are also looking to donate to a relief agency operating in the areas affected.

Last-Quarter Waning Moon Phase, February 13 to 20: Shifting Thoughts, Attitudes, and Plans

The waning Moon will be in a stressful square to the Sun (at a 90-degree angle) on Monday, February 13. This will be the start of the last-quarter lunar phase.

At the beginning of the last-quarter lunar phase, the Moon is half-empty. At this time, inner or outer tensions may come to light, leading us to feel some discomfort, disappointment, or disillusionment. During this phase, we may have to make an adjustment in our attitudes, intentions, actions, or plans.

Balsamic Moon, February 16 to 20: The Dreamtime Phase for Resting, Clearing, Healing, and Contemplation

The Balsamic Moon phase will begin on Thursday night (EST), February 16 and will last until the New Moon on February 20. This occurs in the last three-and-a half days of every lunar cycle when the waning Crescent Moon transits within 45 degrees behind the Sun.

The Balsamic Moon is the Dreamtime phase of the month when we should focus on cleaning, clearing, resting, healing, and contemplative practices. During this darkening Moon phase, the light of the Sun, the soul of the world, is not reflected back to us, so we must instead go deeper within to re-connect with the true inner Light.

Look Forward to Some Positive Spiritual and Creative Energy Ahead: Sun in Aquarius, February 12 to March 14, and Venus-Jupiter-Neptune in Pisces from February 12 to March 15

As mentioned in my previous article, when the Sun moves into Aquarius on February 12 (or February 13 in some parts of the world), this will usher in some beautiful spiritual and creative energy, which I am sure we can all appreciate. And from February 15 to March 11, as I discussed in an earlier report, Venus will transit in Pisces along with Jupiter and Neptune, signalling a powerful exponential force of love, wisdom, creativity, harmony, peace, and beauty.
